Deerpath Road undergoing major upgrade
Plans for the Deerpath Streetscape Project have been underway for years. Construction began in January 2025.
Project highlights include:
Pedestrian Safety: New crosswalks, improved sightlines, and traffic calming to create a safer experience for everyone.
Infrastructure Renewal: Replacement of the century-old water main, deteriorating sidewalks, and repaving within project limits.
Beautification: New trees, decorative elements, and hanging planter baskets to beautify our community.
Pace Introduces VanGo Service
VanGo is a reservation-based service, in which drivers reserve a van for the next business day. This new pilot program provides a first-mile/last-mile transit option for commuters traveling round-trip from the Lake Forest Metra Station to a work location
between the Tri-State Tollway and East Townline Road.
The fare is $5.00 round trip.

Transit Benefit Program Approved
Transit benefits—an IRS approved program (Section 132f) to reduce costs of commuting by allowing employees to set aside up to $255.00 per month for their Metra, bus, vanpool or other public transit costs. Similar to health savings accounts, yet more flexible, transit benefit programs allow employees to opt in/out according to your plan specifications, and there's no "use it or lose it" penalty.

BPTC Bus Suspended
The BPTC shuttle bus service has been suspended due to reduced ridership and Covid-19 considerations. Watch this web site for future announcements.
